Spray response on a model prefilmer under unsteady airflows of various frequencies

چکیده
An appealing concept for jet engine combustors is the Lean Premixed Prevaporized (LPP) combustor, which operates at high pressures. The low NO x emissions achieved by lean combustion are one of targets modern aircraft engines. However, these types can introduce thermoacoustic instabilities that potentially damage and reduce its lifespan. Since potential on fuel spray characteristics, i.e. mass flux, affect flame stability, need arises to investigate response under an unsteady airflow. For this study, a model prefilmer was experimentally investigated produce two-dimensional droplet flow without swirl flow. acoustic forcing in range 100–500 Hz introduced into airflow, characterized hot wire Constant Temperature Anemometry (CTA) setup. Droplet namely diameter distribution velocity, were determined using Phase Doppler (PDA) setup, while acquired data phase-averaged period airflow oscillation. influence excitation frequency air-to-liquid ratio (ALR) studied: responded therefore critical performance parameters, such as oscillated indicating problems regarding stability.

Added costs of insect-scale flapping flight in unsteady airflows
The aerial environment in the operating domain of small-scale natural and artificial flapping wing fliers is highly complex, unsteady and generally turbulent. Considering flapping flight in an unsteady wind environment with a periodically varying lateral velocity component, we show that body rotations experienced by flapping wing fliers result in the reorientation of the aerodynamic force vecto...
متن کاملa study on insurer solvency by panel data model: the case of iranian insurance market
the aim of this thesis is an approach for assessing insurer’s solvency for iranian insurance companies. we use of economic data with both time series and cross-sectional variation, thus by using the panel data model will survey the insurer solvency.
Numerical Simulation of Unsteady Nozzle Flow and Spray Formation under Diesel Engine Conditions
In this paper a numerical approach for the prediction of the unsteady atomization process of liquid fuel in Diesel engine is presented. The dependences between the transient nozzle flow and spray formation are analysed. For that purpose models to simulate unsteady nozzle flows including the transient behaviour of cavitation and two-phase atomization process are employed. Results of transient fl...
متن کاملComparing Zonal and Cfd Model Predictions of Indoor Airflows under Mixed Convection Conditions to Experimental Data
The present work is part of a research effort aimed at integrating a detailed model of airflow in large spaces with an algebraic multizone infiltration model to describe pollutant transport and coupled air flows within and between complex buildings and large spaces. In the past 15 years, zonal models were developed with the goal to obtain an approximate prediction of airflow characteristics in ...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
